Review of the 2020 BMW 5 Series

January 21st, 2021 by

The BMW 5 Series takes one of the top spots in the mid-size luxury sedans that offer speed with comfort. They are a super reliable daily ride that we can also take to the track. The roots of the m5 series go back to the BMW motorsports division, with some tweaks from Lamborghini as well. Turbo comes standard in these, and with a variable drivetrain, we can shift from an all-wheel-drive to sporty and more fun rear-wheel drive that can go 0 to 60 in less than 3.2 seconds. Despite having a motorsports background, the m5 tilts more towards the luxury side of the spectrum.

Features and specs

In this review, when it comes to safety features offered in the 2020 BMW 5 Series, they are top-notch. The BMW 5 Series won the Top Safety pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for highway safety, which goes even further in the newer models. Some safety features include automatic braking during emergencies with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring that helps detect objects that do not appear in mirrors, and rear cross-traffic alerts. Plus, forward collision warning is an active protection system that’s part of BMW’s active driving assistant that prepares the car before impact.

Updated features also include adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and a 360-degree camera that provides a top view of the car to navigate through tight spots and see objects that we wouldn’t normally see.

BMW 5 Series vehicles come with cutting-edge technology that gives a sensational driving experience. It comes with the power-adjustable front seats, optional front ventilated seats, optional multi-contour front seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, sunroof, adaptive led headlights, dynamic handling, and much more. We have tons of stock of these vehicles and many others. View the pre-owned inventory of our vehicles here.

Thus, comes great handling and more stability through corners.

Entertainment specs

With a massive 12.3-inch infotainment system, it’s easy to navigate through the sea of options that are simple and user-friendly. BMW has kept the new design similar to the previous generation in terms of the interface to keep it simple, unlike other competitors that transition to an intimidating and complicated interface.

We can see a digital gauge cluster display that is also available in premium packages, and we can use the iDrive rotary knob, the touch screen, or various voice commands to navigate.

Connectivity options include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, alongside other tech features like wireless device charging pad, Bluetooth, navigation, USB ports, voice control, gesture control, Wi-Fi hotspot, and much more.
